Shawn Cahill, MIR, is an external workplace investigator with decades of experience conducting complex interviews, assessing credibility and reliability, and making factual findings in difficult and sensitive matters. He is known for procedurally fair investigations, skilled interviewing, and clear, defensible reports that set out rigorous, evidence-based conclusions grounded in the record. Shawn brings a strong unionized workplace lens, a Master of Industrial Relations and a Certificate in Law from Queen’s University, HRPA workplace investigation certification, trauma-informed interviewing training, the Osgoode Hall Law School Certificate in Labour Law, private investigator licensing, and substantial advocacy and litigation experience before federal and Ontario labour and employment-related tribunals. He brings that background to high-stakes workplace investigations.
