The Site provides general information about BCL and related services. The Site content is not legal advice and is not a substitute for professional advice tailored to your circumstances. You should not rely on the Site as the basis for decisions without obtaining appropriate professional advice.

Contacting us through the Site (including forms, email links, or phone links) does not create any client relationship unless and until BCL confirms an engagement in writing.
Do not send confidential, sensitive, or time-sensitive information through this Site or by email until an engagement is confirmed. Communications through the Site are not protected by solicitor-client privilege.

BCL provides HR/LR consulting and workplace risk services. Any deliverables, timelines, and fees are only as set out in a written agreement or statement of work.
You remain responsible for decisions and actions taken in your workplace, including implementation of any recommendations.

Outcomes depend on specific facts and circumstances. BCL makes no guarantees about results or outcomes.

You agree not to:

• use the Site for unlawful, misleading, or abusive purposes;
   
• attempt to interfere with the Site’s security or operation;
   
• scrape, harvest, or misuse Site content or contact information;
   
• upload or transmit malware or harmful code.
   

All Site content (text, graphics, logos, trademarks, and design) is owned by or licensed to BCL and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal or internal business purposes only. No part may be reproduced or distributed without written permission, except as permitted by law.

The Site may include links to third-party websites or embedded tools. BCL does not control third-party content and is not responsible for third-party sites, services, or privacy practices. Use third-party sites at your own risk.

The Site may use cookies and analytics tools (including Google Analytics) if you consent via the cookie banner. Your use of the Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference.

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, BCL disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BCL will not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, loss of data, business interruption, or reputational harm arising from or relating to:

• use of or inability to use the Site;
   
• reliance on Site content;
   
• third-party links, tools, or services;
   
• unauthorized access, security incidents, or transmission errors.
   

If a court finds BCL liable despite the above, BCL’s total liability will not exceed $100 CAD (or, if you have a paid written agreement with BCL, the fees you paid to BCL under that written agreement in the three months prior to the event giving rise to the claim), whichever is greater.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless BCL and its directors, officers, employees, and contractors from any claims, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site or breach of these Terms.

We may update the Site and these Terms at any time. The Effective date indicates the latest version. Your continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada applicable in Ontario. You agree that any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought in the courts located in Ontario.

If any provision is found unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in force.
